Russia, China may unite aviation industries
MOSCOW, Aug 26 (PRIME) -- Russia and China may establish a so-called third pole of the world’s aviation industry after Boeing and the E.U. by uniting their markets, Wu Xiandong, deputy CEO at China’s Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), told PRIME on Wednesday at the sidelines of the MAKS international air show.
“Cooperation between China and Russia in the aviation sphere is not just competition. I think that the two sides should unite on the basis of their own markets and create a ‘third pole’. Europe has created its aerospace and defense complex, the U.S. have their Boeing company. Markets of Russia and China are huge and may develop a new competitive aviation industry,” he said.
The suggestion was approved by the Russian partners.
“The two countries will contribute their technological and production potential. If the two countries’ governments provide active support, this task will be solved,” he said.
